Meg Kaplan Ph.D is a Clinical Psychologist, sexologist, educator and researcher. She received her Ph.D in Human Sexuality from New York University in 1984. Dr. Kaplan is an Associate Clinical Professor of Psychology in Psychiatry in the Department of Psychiatry, Columbia University, College of Physicians and Surgeons, and a Research Scientist at the New York State Psychiatric Institute, where she is Director of the Sexual Behavior Clinic.

Evaluation and Treatment of : atypical sexual interests, compulsive sexual behavior and sexual dysfunction
Dr Kaplan teaches sexual dysfunction and sexual disorders to medical students, residents, and forensic fellows. She directs an outpatient treatment program for adolescents with inappropriate sexual behavior problems, and is in private practice treating the specialties listed above.
Dr. Kaplan serves on several boards. She is Chairperson of the Special Classification Review Board at Avenel Diagnostic and Treatment center. She is a Board member of NYSATSA, and a previous board member of National ATSA. She is on the Advisory Board of S.T.A.R.
She has authored over 55 publications as well as co-authored several sex education manuals. Dr Kaplan is a well known public speaker and has lectured in many grand rounds in the US and abroad and is an expert witness.
